Return Form All items purchased from the Sales Items category are final sales, no exchanges, no returns. Final sale is valid while supplies last.

Merchandise returned for exchange or refund will receive our prompt attention. When returning merchandise, please use the return form enclosed with your order and send to:

Merchandise Return Policies

Gift Department
  • Merchandise accompanied by a valid register receipt may be returned in new and unused condition for up to one year from the date of purchase, with following exceptions:
    • Cosmetics: May be returned only with a receipt and within 30 days of purchase.
    • CDs, DVDs, and Videos: No returns : All sales are final.
    • Discounted and Sale Merchandise: No returns : All sales are final.
  • Merchandise without a receipt may only be exchanges or receive store credit if the merchandise is new and unused or defective, and is still available for sale in the gift department.
  • All Defective merchandise returns must be approved by a store manager.
General and Technical Books
  • Merchandise must be accompanied by a valid register receipt.
  • Merchandise must be returned within 48 hours.
  • There are no returns on study guides, magazines, USC catalogues, or sale items.
  • Defective merchandise may always be exchanged. Receipt required.
Supplies
  • Merchandise (excluding electronics: see below) is refundable, providing the merchandise is in good resalable condition. A valid register is required.
  • Electronics merchandise can be returned within 24 hours. Absolutely no refunds will be extended beyond this time. A valid register receipt is required. The following conditions apply:
    • Your electronics warranty with the University Bookstore ends after 30 days of the purchase. Should the item purchased malfunction due to a manufacturing defect during that 30 days, you may return or exchange it at the Supplies counter on the second floor. 30 days after purchase, warranty with the University Bookstore expires and all repairs must be handled by the manufacturer. Most models are guaranteed for a period of one year. A proof of purchase receipt will be issued upon request if you recorded your purchase with us. You have one week to exchange your electronic item for a different model, provided that it is the same price. If you choose a more expensive model you must pay the difference. There will be no refunds or exchanges without the original box. The box must be in good condition. Please retain your cash register receipt. This is mandatory for all customers returning merchandise for any reason.
Course Materials
  • All merchandise must be returned in the original condition in which it was purchased.
  • A valid register receipt is required for all refunds or exchanges.
  • The final day of Drop and Add is the last day for all refunds or exchanges.
  • After Drop and Add, refunds or exchanges must be made within 48 hours of purchase.
  • There are no refunds or exchanges on purchases made during the last week of class or finals.
  • There are no refunds or exchanges at any time on course readers. Please make sure that you are permanently enrolled in the class before purchasing course readers.
Computers
  • The original receipt is required.
  • Merchandise must be in original box with original accessories, packaging, manuals, and registration card.
  • Your refund is paid in the same manner as original method of payment for purchase.
  • Refund checks are mailed 14 days from date merchandise is returned.
  • Store credits are not refundable.
  • Merchandise must be undamaged, clean, and in otherwise new condition.
  • Merchandise using toner or ink cartridge must be returned with factory-sealed toner or cartridge.
  • A restocking fee equal to 15% of the purchase price will be charged on all items with missing boxes or packaging and returned printers with the installed toner or inkjet cartridges.
    • Return Privilege for Exchange / Store Credit / Refund
    • Software, hardware, and peripherals are non-returnable. Because we cannot accept returns on products once they are opened, before opening each product please check its packaging and label carefully to be sure you received the correct product and version.
    • Defective software, hardware, or peripherals will be exchanged for the exact same item within a 5-business day period from the original purchase date with original receipt.
    • The computer store will honor the manufacturer’s service/exchange policy.
    • Service and installation charges are not refundable.
    • Special order items are not returnable.
    • All hardware sales are final.
  • All returns and exchanges must meet all of the above requirements.

  • Any purchase must be returned in its original, unmarked and unused condition within 20 days of the shipment date.
  • A full refund, less shipping, will be issued to your credit card.
  • A copy of the packing slip must accompany all returns, which is included with the purchase.
  • Opened instruments are non-returnable.
  • When returning the package, use either UPS, USPS insured or any other method that provides insurance and tracing.
  • Retain the insurance and shipping receipt showing when and how you sent it until the credit appears on your charge card. This will also cover you in case the book is damaged during return shipping.

  • No Refunds are granted without purchase receipt.
  • All gold sales are final.
  • Exam textbook returns are subject to a 20% restock fee.
  • The following are non-refundable:
    Manuals, teeth, typodonts & board review materials (Dental Decks)
  • Teeth are only exchangeable for other teeth.
